Serving the Horse Racing Industry at
Arlington Park Racetrack
Hawthorne Racetrack
WHO WE ARE
At the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America - Illinois Chapter (RTCA-IL), we aim to meet, with excellence, the spiritual, emotional, physical, social & educational needs of the workforce in the horse racing industry. The individuals we serve include track executives, horse trainers, hot walkers, barn crew members, security and concession workers. Since 1971, we have been dedicated to showing Christ's love in action to those who work in the racing industry.

Though racetrack workers are rarely mentioned in the media, we believe that each is uniquely created by God, and that they are the true heroes of the track. Their faithful work keeps not only their horses, but an entire industry running strong.

Each day on the front sides and backstretches of the racetracks, training centers, breeding centers & horse farms, chaplains are there in the triumph and tragedy to provide Christian service to the entire racing community.
Everything we do at RTCA-IL continues to embrace the mission of the RTCA and further strengthen our five core values: salvation, fellowship, ministry, discipleship and worship.

I'm It is our purpose to bring the Word of God and invitation of Jesus Christ to those working in the horse racing industry. Paul declares in Romans 10:17 "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ."

Some of the services we offer include presiding over weddings & funerals, visiting those who are ill while they are in the hospital, praying with the jockeys before they race, running day camps and athletic camps for the youth & running educational programs for those who live on the backstretch.
